While the phrase "end-user technology" usually means a product which is not very likely to produce any additional economic value, I'd like to establish that much of that same technology that is being produced now is doing just that -- adding value. Just as business technology has been adding employee productivity for decades, I believe that now consumer technology is also coming into its own, making our lives far more vibrant and enjoyable, and helping individuals to produce real and virtual goods, for which others are ready and willing to pay to have -- because they are authentically worthwhile!
